The International Conference for Women Entrepreneurs in Cluj-Napoca, held in October 2024, brought together over 100 participants for inspiring insights, dynamic debates, workshops, and networking sessions.

Organized by the Mamprenoare Association, a member of the DEBUTING Stakeholders Group in the North-West Region of Romania, the event was held in synergy with the ERASMUS+ project MompreneurCONNECT: Building Bridges and Bridging Gaps for Sustainable Growth.

As a prime example of impactful collaboration shaping both policy and business, the DEBUTING approach and its best practices were showcased during the event, emphasizing the added value of international synergies in advancing gender equality policies across 11 European countries.

Ioana Dragoș, project manager at the North-West Regional Development Agency, alongside external expert Elena-Manuela Bîrsănuc, associate lecturer at Babeș-Bolyai University, shared valuable insights into the DEBUTING project. They presented it as a successful model of European cooperation for gender-balanced entrepreneurship, supported by research and evidence-based statistics.

Gender equality, recognized as a competitive advantage in business, boosts profitability, fosters creativity, and helps attract and retain top talent, transforming the way small and medium-sized companies evolve their business models. Additionally, the collaborative approach of clusters offers a new, sustainable vision for European businesses.
