4th Edition of Good Practice RoboTech Girls' in France

RoboTech Girls is an initiative designed to encourage young women and girls to explore careers in digital technology and industry and to raise awarness. RoboTech Girls is also one of the good practices introduced in DEBUTING project. 

As part of the BE 5.0 - Industries of the Future trade fair in Mulhouse, this programme offers secondary school girls an opportunity to immerse themselves at the heart of industrial innovation. Since its inception in 2019, RoboTech Girls' has been offering a range of initiatives to raise awareness among young girls of career opportunities in the digital sector. These include the RoboTech Girls' Salon BE 5.0 Mulhouse, where participants can meet professionals, attend demonstrations and discover inspiring career paths.

The BE 5.0 trade fair, dedicated to the industry of the future, addresses issues such as skills, the need of women in industry, role models and experience sharing. The RoboTech Girls' trail is part of this dynamic, offering young girls the opportunity to meet companies and schools, talk to women in key positions in industry and digital technology, and take part in discovery sessions.

In 27 November 2024, the Grand Est Region, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry CCI of Alsace, the Strasbourg academy and Grand E-nov + were able to organise the 4th edition with the support of the host organisations: ADDI DATA, EDF, EIFFAGE CLEMESSY, ELLES BOUGENT, IMT, ORANGE and VERSUSMIND played a key role in welcoming around fifty participants to their stands to discuss the skills required and career prospects in industry. These discussions help to deconstruct stereotypes and encourage gender diversity in traditionally male-dominated sectors. 

In addition to the exhibition, the RoboTech Girls‘ programme also organises immersive days, called RoboTech Girls’ Days, at universities and companies. These days give participants the opportunity to take part in practical workshops and meet professionals, boosting their interest in careers in digital technology and industry.
