21 Sites Preselected for the 2025 European Heritage Label
On March 14, 2025, the European Commission announced the preselection of 21 remarkable European sites for the prestigious 2025 European Heritage Label. This initiative, launched in 2011, celebrates locations that have played a pivotal role in shaping European history, culture, and the foundation of the European Union. Each EU Member State participating in the programme nominated sites, which an independent expert panel will now evaluate.
