Igualada drives STEM Actions at 5th WeSTEMEU Meeting

Today, the fifth meeting of the local group of the European project WeSTEMEU was held at the Igualada-UdL Campus, a key space for promoting equality and fostering STEM vocations. The session took place at the Pla de la Massa Campus of the University of Lleida, where the Igualada local group, which leads the project at the European level, continued working on initiatives to bring scientific and technological disciplines closer to everyone. The head of studies, Adela Pagès, welcomed the attendees and opened the campus doors to host this new working session.

During the meeting, the booklet was presented—a compilation of best practices developed by local groups from all participating countries in the project. Group members can register to vote for the initiatives they find most inspiring, and the selected ones will be further developed in an online workshop, where they will be explained in detail and collectively refined.

Additionally, work continued on the challenge-response laboratory, which was initiated in the third meeting last July. The goal is to find innovative and applicable solutions to previously identified challenges.

These meetings are a fundamental part of advancing the global objectives of the WeSTEMEU project and strengthening collaboration among the various stakeholders involved in promoting STEM across Europe.
