Lubelskie Voivodeship prioritizes energy transformation as a key element of its development policy, aiming for climate neutrality by 2050 through increased energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and low-emission technologies. Additionally, the region is involved in the Polish Hydrogen Strategy 2030, focusing on fostering cooperation between business, science, and local governments for sustainable hydrogen investments.
Why is your organisation a partner in UNIFHY?
Lubelskie Voivodeship is a partner in UNIFHY because clean hydrogen solutions and technologies are crucial for energy transition. Through international cooperation, study visits, and workshops with advanced partners, Lubelskie aims to share good practices, gain knowledge, and define the regional authority's role in supporting green hydrogen deployment.
How does your organisation contribute to the UNIFHY project?
Lubelskie Voivodeship is becoming one of the leaders in the development of the hydrogen economy in Poland, as evidenced by a series of initiatives and investments focused on promoting and implementing hydrogen technologies. Key elements of this transformation include the development of the introduction of hydrogen-powered public transport vehicles, and support for the production of hydrogen buses, hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
What do you expect as an outcome of the UNIFHY project?
Lubelskie Voivodeship aims to learn from UNIFHY partners how to design effective regional strategies, including regulatory frameworks and incentives to promote green hydrogen adoption and support the transition to a modern, climate-neutral economy.
