UnicornQuest | Why We Created Regional Assessments?
Why We Created Regional Assessments?
Many promising start-ups leave regional hubs in search of bigger innovation ecosystems in EU capitals and the US. To counter this “unicorn exodus,” our partner regions aim to establish “small valleys” that offer local experimentation fields and uphold human-centric, ethically grounded EU principles as a competitive advantage.
To better understand each region’s unique context and success stories, we conducted regional assessments in all partner territories. This process included:
- Analyzing local realities and peer reviewing best practices and case studies
- Developing ‘road maps’ as internal working documents to guide policy improvements
- Implementing enhancements and learning from each other’s proven methods
Through these steps, we aim to create an environment where to-be-unicorns can thrive locally, supported by strong community engagement and ethical standards, rather than migrating to more traditional innovation hubs.
Follow us on our LinkeIn page during the coming two months to learn more about the results of these researches and let's start a fruitful conversation.
