Youth as the Key Development Asset in the NW Romanian Region
Youth is undoubtedly the main development resource of the North-West Romanian region. To ensure their potential is fully realized, it is crucial to provide clear arguments and immediate solutions to convince young people that they can build a future in their own communities, surrounded by their families and friends.
Through the TALENT4S3 project, the project partner ADR Nord-Vest Romania is working with specialists from various sectors, including education, public administration, and the business environment, to offer solutions that will support youth in building successful careers locally. The goal is to make sure youth are confident they have the necessary support to thrive and contribute to their community’s development
A key milestone in this process was the first dissemination event held on 19 November in Cluj-Napoca, where selected stakeholders gathered to discuss the necessary actions to create and implement specific regional and national policies. These policies will help retain talent and ensure that young people have the tools they need to succeed in their local environment.
The event included several important presentations:
- Project Status of TALENT4S3: This presentation outlined the activities carried out so far and the next steps in the project.
- National and Regional Policies Supporting Talent Retention: Experts discussed existing policies and their impact on keeping young talent in the region.
- Examples of Good European Practices: Successful initiatives identified in the partner regions within the project were shared as models for the North-West region.
- Proposals and Action Directions: Based on discussions with participants, the event highlighted the specific needs of the North-West Region and proposed actionable solutions.
The TALENT4S3 project represents a unique opportunity to bring together decision-makers and specialists in a collaborative effort to create effective policies that encourage talented youth to stay in the region. By sharing best European practices and fostering cooperation between key stakeholders, the North-West region has the potential to become an attractive hub for talent and a thriving area for youth development.
