TAAS 1st International Webinar

At the end of January, the TAAS project successfully hosted its first international webinar, Exploring Best Practices in Tourism Digitalization: INSPIRING INTEREST AND SHAPING DIGITAL TOURIST CONCEPTS, bringing together over 80 participants from across Europe. This webinar marked the beginning of a series of four virtual events planned within the TAAS project, with the next session scheduled for March 2025.
The event focused on exploring innovative strategies for sustainable tourism digitalization, with a particular emphasis on improving visitor engagement and promoting eco-friendly practices.
The webinar was divided into three sessions:
- SESSION 1: SMART TOURISM INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM (SIT), presented by Daniel Santana from Sevilla Smart City Office;
- SESSION 2: INTEGRATING DIGITAL MAPS TO ELEVATE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE EXPERIENCES, presented by Nace Koncilja, Head of Service for Visitor Services and Sales, Tourism Ljubljana;
- SESSION 3: DIGITAL APPROACHES TO POSITION SLOVENIA AS A TOURIST GEM PRESENTED BY Gabrijela Fužir Bauer, Head of Digital Communication, Slovenian Tourist Board.
Participants had the opportunity to learn from industry experts and share valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in this rapidly evolving sector.
