South Ostrobothnia next regional event
🌍 More direct EU funding for South Ostrobothnia! 🌱
Into Seinäjoki and the City of Seinäjoki are part of the Smart Con Europe project, which aims to enhance companies’ ability to access EU research and development funding.
Last week, we gathered with the project’s stakeholders to reflect on the insights gained throughout the past months. The end of the year was full of learning opportunities as we explored the EU funding support services of Merinova and Business Tampere. A big thank you to both Vaasa and Tampere for sharing your expertise! 🙏 Additionally, we gained valuable ideas from the December project meeting in Lille, where we examined how Hauts-de-France (France) and Alentejo (Portugal) support companies in leveraging R&D funding.
💡 Key points from South Ostrobothnian stakeholders:
1. Funding for project preparation: The FRAPPE model from Hauts-de-France sparked interest. This regional funding supports the main partners and work package leaders of EU projects by, for instance, offering a few days of consulting for project preparation. Developing a similar model locally is under consideration – we’re open to hearing all good ideas!
2. Clarity for companies: Support services for EU funding must be clear and easy to understand. Collaboration between regional and national actors, as well as international funding consultants, is essential.
Next up, we’ll host an Introduction to EU Funding event for companies in the manufacturing and food industries on February 4th. Read more and join us!
