SHARING Interregional Event in Bucharest and Ilfov
The SHARING project is hosting a three-day interregional event in Romania, bringing together partners and stakeholders from across Europe to explore cooperation mechanisms, share best practices, and discuss ways to improve policy governance at the local level.
Day 1 (3 June) will take place in Bucharest and will include:
- A welcome session hosted by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDPWA),
- A presentation of the project’s objectives in relation to the Joint Position Paper adopted in September 2024,
- A comparative workshop on cooperation mechanisms in partner countries,
- A session on showcasing and discussing best practices across regions.
Day 2 (4 June) is dedicated to on-site visits in Ilfov County, where participants will explore local good practices in public service delivery and inter-municipal collaboration. Stops will include Ilfov County Council and several locations of good practices implemented by the county council with municipalities of the county.
Day 3 (5 June) brings participants back to Bucharest for the Steering Group meeting, which will focus on:
- Progress in improving policy instruments,
- Project management and reporting,
- Future perspectives and concluding reflections.
The day will end with a cultural visit to the National Village Museum, celebrating Romania’s rural heritage and fostering informal exchanges among partners.
The SHARING project continues to promote capacity-building and peer learning among regional and local public authorities. Through collaboration and mutual trust, the project contributes to stronger governance frameworks and more inclusive community development.
