On Wednesday, June 4, the Fédération des Moulins de France and Stephen Midgley, Coordinator at SEHV (Syndicat Énergies Haute-Vienne), conducted a working session in Limoges, hosted at the SEHV offices.

This meeting provided an opportunity to review the territorial analysis in progress in Haute-Vienne, a key phase of the project. The methodology is based on a cross-cutting approach:

  • Review of relevant documentation
  • Mapping of sites with hydropower potential
  • Consultations with public and regional stakeholders

This approach will be complemented by the implementation of a qualitative study, currently being developed, which will be carried out over the next six months. It will rely on field interviews with mill owners and institutional stakeholders in the Haute-Vienne region, in order to better understand the barriers, needs, and development prospects.

The session also contributed to preparing our next interregional meeting, which will take place in Slovenia in early July!
