Belgium meets the Walloon Energy Ministry to agree upon OSS

Energie Commune, REC4EU Belgian partner, met two main stakeholders:

• The Walloon Energy Ministry and 
• The Walloon Energy Minster’s office

The meeting was focused on the content of EC second policy instrument: "the Walloon Air, climate and Energy plan", which foresees support for RECs. 

The goal of the meeting was to discuss a policy improvement proposal about a way to structure the work of the regional one-stop-shop dedicated to energy communities (including RECs) and energy sharing that will provide technical and legal support to energy communities (including REC’s) and any kind of energy sharing. 

The result of this event was very positive since it was agreed that EC and the two stakeholders will further explore some aspects of the work of the future one-stop-shop (such as the way to lead dissemination actions about RECs) with the partnership in order to get positive inspiration about what it’s done by similar structure in other partner’s Region and provide a high quality support.  

The meeting took place in person on the 28th of April 2025 at the Walloon Energy Minster’s office and besides Energie Commune, two representatives of the stakeholder organisations attended
