Our journey through Europe is coming almost to its end, PROMOTER project partners and stakeholders will meet again, for the penultimate time, in Oostende between the 1st and the 3rd of April.
This Study Visit has been organised by AG Oostende - Mobil’O as partner of ‘promoting territorial strategies for sustainable mobility through green energy prosumer hubs’.
Participants will learn more about the good practices adopted in the city for its mobility system and policy, like bicycle highways, data warehouse and other projects in transport region. In the afternoon, there will also be a guided bicycle tour to explore the city and its peculiarities. For example, the safety measurements and the action plan of the LODO school and the Tuinen van Stene (Gardens of Stene), a green oasis of 35 hectares on the borders of Ostend.
During the second day project partners will participate in plenary sessions about urban renewal and energy. They will discover the energy care plan of Ostend, its virtual power plant and the project renovation advice, talking directly with some representatives of Elia, the belgian electricity system operator.
On the third day, as usual, all participants will compare notes and earmark those experiences of their utmost interest for possible replication in other regions.
