After the summer break, our project team met online on 3 October 2023 to discuss the current status of the thematic work. In our 2-hour session each stage 1 activity was presented:

  • the Flemish Land Agency (VLM), as responsible for our good practice database showcased the already available good practices, which – currently – can be divided in 2 groups: policy-oriented solutions and practical answers to tackle climate change. The collection continues and the results will be further discussed in our upcoming meeting, in Brussels.
  • Each project partner introduced its own policy instrument. Knowing each other needs or even strengths better, can help us to find the right solutions for the own regions.
  • The Lead Partner, the Hungarian Ministry of Interior summarized the outcomes and lessons learned of the evaluated partner feedbacks based on the filled questionnaires as regards policy instruments.
  • BURST, our thematic advisory partner outlined the importance of knowledge exchange and the interregional cooperation, as only this can lead to successful policy improvement. Providing useful and detailed information to our questionnaires on policy instruments and good practices can help the matchmaking process, of which 1st session will be held also in Brussels, in November this year.
  • And last, but not least some slides were displayed – also by BURST – about the partners contribution on communication tasks in the first semester, as well as about the outlook for the future activities. Furthermore, the project management team provided some information about the experience gained at the Interreg Europe training days from last week.

The meeting, we had, was short, but useful. Until now, we had no option to meet each other in person, so we are really looking forward to our meeting in Brussels, where we can continue our work and definitely will have a nice time together.
