Peer Review in Ascó

On Tuesday the 26th of November, the MILEstone (Interreg Europe) Peer Review of the Municipality of Ascó .
The Peer Review was subdivided in two Events held on the 26th and 27th of November with the feedback received on the 28th
The first day was held in Reus in Centre d'Innovació i Formació Boca de la Mina courtesy of our Regional main stakeholders of Diputació de Tarragona.
There the group if experts deputed by MILEstone deepened their knowledge in the regional reality of the whole of the Tarragona area and contextualised the differences between rural and urban areas, the tools at our disposal and the challenges that could become the opportunities available.
On the second day; the peers finally met with our local stakeholders ;
Fatima Ghaddari Chait and Ibtissam Mahjouba who discussed the challenges and opportunities offered by small rural communities, their view on their future and aspirations.
Nuria Franquet, Municipality worker in charge of the housing department for Ascó and main promoter of the new Ascó municipal housing plan and with Jordi Serra Lecina local worker with language and alphabetization courses for newly arrived citizens.
Overall quite a complete picture of the actual radiography of the state of the art right now in Ascó that would culminate in the experts recommendations and amendments to be added to the current plans and future improvements.
