Focus group meeting in Ungheni
On January 23, 2025, in the meeting room of Ungheni District Council, the focus group meeting was held to develop the Study on the integration of migrants into the community and local economy in Ungheni district. During the meeting, the experts contracted to develop the Study interviewed the participants of the focus group on the migration phenomenon in Ungheni district, its scale and impact on the community, the main changes observed in the social and economic integration of migrants, the challenges and solutions identified in the interaction with migrants, the existing legislative framework and public policies, the needs and opportunities of migrants for integration.
At the same time, the focus group participants came up with a series of proposals to improve the legislative framework and public policies regarding the creation/development of infrastructure and services offered to migrants, their integration and interaction with the host community. The results of the interview will be reflected in the Study that will contribute to improving the local public policy instruments of the district, in particular, the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Ungheni district for the years 2022-2030.
