KORALE community rail: Next stop Lisbon
As part of the KORALE project, the third of six planned European stakeholder meetings will take place in Lisbon on 27 May 2025. The event is hosted by our project partners in Portugal: Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
The KORALE | Lisboa Com Vida Meeting will serve as a significant occasion for the exchange of experiences, good practices, and intervention strategies aimed at preventing and addressing social isolation and unwanted loneliness. The agenda includes expert panel discussions, presentations of national and European best practices, and dedicated opportunities for professional exchange and networking.
This meeting seeks to highlight the ongoing work of the project partners, strengthen European dialogue on social cohesion policies, and support the development of a European community of practice. One of the key long-term objectives of this initiative is the creation of a European Guide to Public Policies to combat loneliness, to be published at the conclusion of the project.
The working language of the event will be English. Participants will include institutional representatives, researchers, and practitioners engaged in relevant work across Europe.
The KORALE project brings together six European partners: Adinberri (Basque Country / Spain), Social City Vienna (Austria), Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (Portugal), Fingal County Council (Ireland), Municipality of Aalst (Belgium) and Central Denmark Region (Denmark). The partners are committed to advancing innovative public policy approaches to reduce loneliness and foster social inclusion, especially among young people and older adults.
This meeting in Lisbon marks another important step on the KORALE journey. It reinforces the foundation for a growing European community of practice committed to tackling loneliness through policy and innovation.
