KnowledgeAnalytics meeting in Vilnius

On March 5–6, 2025, project partners of KnowledgeAnalytics (Advanced analytics for knowledge transfer monitoring and evaluation) will gather in Bratislava, Slovakia, for the Transnational Learning Meeting and Study Visit. Hosted by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA), the event will focus on reviewing project progress, exchanging best practices, and strengthening cooperation on knowledge transfer policies.

The meeting will open on March 5 at the SIEA headquarters in Bratislava, where partners will engage in stakeholder discussions and present their national and regional State-of-the-Art (SotA) analyses. These presentations will serve as the foundation for discussions on knowledge transfer monitoring and evaluation. In the afternoon, participants will take part in a Fast-track Policy Hackathon, a hands-on workshop aimed at tackling key challenges in science-business cooperation and evidence-based innovation policy. The workshop will address issues such as the insufficient share of knowledge-intensive businesses, the gap between research and commercialization, coordination difficulties among different ecosystem actors, and data availability concerns. Participants will be divided into small teams to brainstorm solutions and formulate policy recommendations. Each team will then pitch its ideas in a brief two-to-three-minute presentation, followed by peer feedback and a group discussion on the most promising proposals for follow-up action. Following the workshop, there will be a networking session with the Korean delegation, providing an opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussions on international cooperation in innovation policy.

The Korean partners attending the event are part of key national programs aimed at fostering economic and policy development. The Korea Development Institute (KDI) is a leading South Korean government-affiliated research institute specializing in economic policy and development strategies. The Center for International Development (CID) focuses on enhancing development cooperation through consultations, regional and sectoral research, and partnerships with governments, institutions, and the private sector. The Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) is a development cooperation model based on Korea’s experience, offering policy research, advisory services, and training programs tailored to partner countries' needs.

On March 6, the event will continue with site visits to two innovative companies, Noove and Bizzcom, where participants will gain insights into real-world applications of advanced knowledge transfer and innovation practices. A Steering Committee meeting will follow, providing an opportunity to reflect on key takeaways and best practices from the project. The meeting will conclude with a final discussion on future collaboration and next steps for enhancing knowledge transfer policies across regions.

The KnowledgeAnalytics project is implemented by the Research Council of Lithuania. Project partners include the Lithuanian Innovation Centre, Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (Slovakia), Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (Czechia), University of Mons (Belgium), and Estonian Research Council (Estonia).
