Wrapping up a productive year
Partners are concluding an intense year of project activities. The most significant development of 2024 is the growth of our project with the addition in June of two partners from candidate countries: the Development Agency of the City of Trebinje (BiH) and Voznesensk City Council (UA).
Peer reviews are one of the activities InnoCom is using to identify possible policy improvements. Two peer reviews were completed in 2024 and others are underway.
We met for three interregional exchange meetings with study visits this year: in Lille (hosted by the Hauts-de-France Regional Council) in February, in Bucharest (hosted by Bucharest – Ilfov Regional Development Agency) in June, and in Carlow (hosted by Carlow County Council) in September. Teams from all partners attended each meeting and many stakeholders also participated, gaining insight and inspiration to take home.
Project partners have joined in Policy Learning Platform activities this year, too: the Umbria Region, Associated Policy Authority, received customized policy advice from peers and thematic experts on the use of AI, in a matchmaking session held in June, and Carlow County Council shared its good practice, the Powerhouse Women in Business Network, to a wide audience during a PLP webinar held in November.
