HYPERION promoted within Budapest Hydrogen Summit/Hungary
Thanks to our Romanian partner, the South-East Regional Development Agency, the HYPERION project was discussed during the Budapest Hydrogen Summit.
Held on 15th April 2025, the Budapest Hydrogen Summit brought together top industry stakeholders and policymakers from the CEE region and beyond to discuss the opportunities and challenges of shifting towards hydrogen technology and to find out how this fuel could contribute to a carbon-free future.
The goal of the conference was to encourage cross-sector dialogue and knowledge-sharing to ensure the rapid scale-up and delivery of the hydrogen economy.
HYPERION was presented by the Romanian Association for Hydrogen Energy during the panel discussion on Regional cooperation - Common Projects and Success Stories in CEE as an excellent initiative of interregional exchange on experiences and good practices focused on the complex process of taking up advanced Hydrogen solutions in various areas of their economic systems, as a move towards a smart and sustainable economic transition.
The examples of hydrogen valleys from the more advanced HYPERION European partners in the field of H2 solutions in industry and transport can support the Region of Dobrogea, located in the south-eastern part of Romania that has all the prerequisites for becoming a clean hydrogen valley due to an exceptional potential for producing hydrogen from onshore and offshore renewable energy, the regional hydrogen demand in refineries, steel plants, and multiple transport modes.
