Murcia's 4th Living Lab dives into Sustainable Inclusivity
On the 25 November 2024, the fourth GREENHEALTH Local Living Lab was hosted in the Region of Murcia.
Andrés Muñoz from the Directorate General for Natural Heritage and Climate Action of the Murcia Region (DGPNAC) provided an overview of the GREENHEALTH project, for those who missed previous meetings. He discussed the purpose of Local Living Labs, outlined the project objectives, and highlighted recent progress, all while promoting engagement on social media.
His colleague, Francisco Soriano, presented good practices inspired by the EUROPARC Federation’s Healthy Parks Healthy People programme, highlighting three practices from the Region of Murcia and discussing the “sustainable inclusivity”- focused initiative from the association "Zancadas sobre ruedas", which was recently presented in the Third Inter-Regional Learning Workshop in Podkarpackie Region in Poland. He later described the good practices shared by project partners from other countries involved in the initiative.
The participants then engaged in a SWOT analysis exercise, whereby they identified the potential of transferring good practices from a European cooperation partner into their context.
Upon completing the SWOT analysis, it was emphasized the importance of identifying further best practices in Murcia during the fourth semester. Zancadas sobre ruedas mentioned that, in partnership with the City Council of Cartagena and several associations, they organize monthly outings as part of the ‘Accessible Nature’ project.
