A meeting on green energy and H2 in Lubelskie Voivodeship

On 15th April 2025, at the headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship in Lublin was hosted the second regional stakeholders meeting in the Lubelskie Voivodeship within the Green Hydra Project (Interreg 2021-2027). The attendees represented the science, business, research, and development units together with business environment institutions.

At the outset, there was the review of activities after the international meeting in Bulgaria, conclusions from the analysis of the current situation of the hydrogen ecosystem in the region (state of play), challenges concerning hydrogen development and implementation, presentation of basic information on good practices, and an outline of the next planned activities within the Green Hydra project.

In response to the needs of the regional stakeholders, there was the introduction of funding opportunities for activities in the field of renewable energy sources, including hydrogen, within the European Funds in relation to the Lubelskie Voivodeship. There was the presentation of the offer from the dedicated to the European Funds for Lubelskie 2021-2027 Programme and the European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027 Programme.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives from Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of New Chemical Syntheses introduced us to the innovative solution related to the hydrogen transformation in the chemical industry within the ammonia production. There were indicated the current industrial projects, based on the innovative research studies, identification of current initiatives, R&D infrastructure and innovative components connected with hydrogen application.

The participants ended the meeting with the networking discussions. There were proposed future hydrogen activities, plans for study visits during the 5th Interregional Event and cooperation areas dedicated to the renewable energy resources.
