"3 Seas" Local Government Congress and Economic 5th Forum

On 12th and 13th March 2025, the Marshall Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, Poland, organised the 5th edition of 3 Seas Local Government Congress and Economic Forum. It has become a regular international economic event bringing together representatives of the government and local government administration, science and business sectors from the 13 member states of the Three Seas Initiative (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary and Greece), representatives of strategic partners and associated regions from Ukraine and Moldova.

During this event, Joanna Blajerska, the communication manager of the project, presented the green hydrogen opportunities in the Lubelskie Voivodeship.
She indicated the main objectives and the framework of the Green Hydra (Interreg Europe 2021-2027). For the question of why Lubelskie joined this initiative, she presented the global situation of GH2 and its role in the reduction of green house emissions. There were presented planned activities towards renewable energies’ development in the region, key players identification and steps in GH2 adoption. The role of SMEs in the process of innovation increase was especially underlined with new skills, communication and knowledge, projects opportunities and access to finance within the whole green H2 value chain. The improvement of national, regional and local support in renewable energies was indicated with the practical examples of mutual learning process, good practice exchange, study visits and creation of mentoring partnerships.

At the end of the meeting, the photos of hydrogen vehicle called Hydros from Lubelskie and study visits in Ravenna were presented as the concrete example towards hydrogen development. Later, the participants from the research, business and government units took part in the networking event. They were invited for the next regional stakeholders meeting, where their suggestions and opinions gathered will indicate the regional policy directions and show the main areas of activities within renewable energy resources.
