On November 27, 2024, the innovative Onliwood platform was introduced during an online presentation at the FBI4EU project meeting, hosted by the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency S.A. (RRDA). The event gathered participants from across Europe, showcasing solutions aimed at boosting the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the forest-based industries.

Onliwood is designed to be a game-changer for SMEs, offering a centralized platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and accessing cutting-edge technologies. Its primary goal is to enhance collaboration between businesses, researchers, and policymakers to drive innovation in the forestry and wood processing sectors.

“This platform has the potential to transform how SMEs operate, offering them tools to overcome common challenges such as fragmented markets and limited access to resources,” said one of the presenters during the event. The online format of the presentation enabled wider participation, reflecting the platform's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

The FBI4EU project, which aims to foster cooperation and innovation in forest-based industries across Europe, recognizes Onliwood as a key tool in achieving its objectives. By empowering SMEs, the platform contributes to creating sustainable business models, driving economic growth, and supporting environmentally friendly practices.

As the forest-based industry continues to evolve, platforms like Onliwood play a crucial role in helping SMEs adapt and thrive in a competitive landscape. The online presentation highlighted the potential for technology to connect stakeholders across borders and ensure a resilient future for the sector.
