Situational Analyses in progress

During the meeting in Gijón, the partners agreed on the approach and methodology to produce Situational Analyses in all the partner regions serving to map (1) opportunities and gaps in their policy frame with regard carbon-less waste management; (2) strengths and weaknesses with regard to different waste management issues; and (3) good practices to share with the rest of the partners.

The Situational Analysis in production have been conceived as an exercise of territorial self-reflection useful to make the most out of the cooperation. For each partner Municipality/Agency, the Situational Analysis produced should be a roadmap throughout the project, serving to optimize the project.

Each Situational Analysis will provide a Policy Frame Analysis (part 1), a Territorial SWOT Analysis attending different topics (part 2) and a Good Practices Inventory (part 3).

Among the topics analyzed in the partner territories: responsible waste generation and minimization of the carbon footprint, collection & transport of waste in terms of emissions & efficiency, recycling, reuse & valorization and emerging techs for carbon-less waste management.

We expect having the Situational Analyses for Burgas, Apeldoorn, Ljubljana, Bucharest, Gothenburg, Gijón and Langhe Monferrato and Roero published in our CLEAR CITIES webpage at the end of semester 2!
