The Webinar 4 was an opportunity to hear range of very insightful practices, approaches, that enriched the knowledge of 33 participants coming from partner organisations and stakeholders from CITISYSTEM regions. After the welcoming words from Helena Cvenkel, from Business Support Center Kranj several interesting presentations took place.

Anna Aalto, Project Manager, BioBoosters from Jamk University of Applied Sciences, Finland had  presented Case BioBoosters Hackathon about open innovation supporting circular transition of bioeconomy sectors, where unique experiences connected to circular transition were presented.

Anna was followed by Petra Untermarzoner, IDM Südtirol, Italy who gave an overview of South Tyrol bioeconomy and presented the practice re-garum: creating the flavour seasoning out of the recycled vegetables. This practice is active in some countries in EU already.

Manon Jourdan from Zero Waste Europe, Belgium, presented project BIOBEST: Guiding the mainstreaming of best biowaste recycling practices in Europe, sharing the cases which took place in several countries of EU.

Luka Irenej Pečan from Biotechnical faculty in University of Ljubljana, Slovenia presented EIP ŽUŽ:Conversion of waste vegetable into feed for animals, which showed great example of finding new ways of usage of still usable parts of vegetable for the feeding the livestock.The webinar was enriched and concluded by the circular practices on the topic “How Circular Flanders supports circular doers« presented by Melody Van den Acker from Circular Flanders, Belgium,

Insightful discussions and exchange of views of the topics presented in event concluded the Webinar, as participants had placed multiple questions for common discussion based on the presented materials. We believe that sharing the practices  could lead also to development/usage of presented practices in CITISYSTEM regions.
