2nd Stakeholder Meeting for CIBUS Project in CIM Alto Minho
The 2nd Stakeholder Meeting of the CIBUS project, organized by CIM Alto Minho, took place on March 31th in the Alto Minho region. This session brought together key actors committed to reducing food waste in the region, including Municipal representatives (Arcos de Valdevez, Melgaço, Monção, Ponte de Lima, and Viana do Castelo), Local Development Associations ADRIMINHO and ADRIL, and the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC).
The meeting agenda covered crucial aspects of the project's development. Participants were updated on the current status of CIBUS, including insights gained from bilateral meetings held with different municipalities. This provided an opportunity to align strategies and ensure that all stakeholders were on the same page regarding ongoing initiatives.
A significant part of the session was dedicated to discussing best practices implemented by project partners. The goal was to evaluate their relevance and potential application by local and regional entities, fostering a more efficient and collaborative approach to food waste reduction.
Additionally, stakeholders outlined a roadmap for upcoming meetings and activities, ensuring that the project's momentum continues. By strengthening collaboration and exchanging knowledge, the CIBUS project aims to drive meaningful action in the fight against food loss and waste, promoting sustainability and responsible consumption at both local and regional levels.
This second meeting, led by CIM Alto Minho, reaffirmed the commitment of municipalities and local organizations to addressing food waste challenges and implementing practical solutions in their communities. The next steps will focus on furthering cooperation and translating discussions into tangible actions that align with the broader goals of the CIBUS project.
