EURICUR Workshop & Excursion: Innovation for Resilience in European Cities

On April 11-12, 2025, the European Institute for Comparative Urban Research (EURICUR) will host a workshop at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, Italy. The theme of this year’s event is "Innovation for Resilience in a Better Europe – New Perspectives on Urban Knowledge Hubs." This workshop will bring together experts, policymakers, and researchers to explore the evolving role of European regional innovation systems in light of disruptive changes and global challenges.

The workshop will feature a series of discussions and collaborative sessions aimed at generating innovative ideas for future joint projects. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with thought leaders in urban development and share insights on creating resilient cities that can adapt to ongoing and emerging challenges.

On April 12, attendees can participate in a guided walking tour led by Dr. Jacopo Galli from the Venice Sustainability Foundation. This tour will showcase various sustainable urban transformations in Venice, including key areas such as Camplus Santa Marta and Porto Maritimo.

This event is open for Accelerate GDT partners, stakeholders and everyone with knowledge and interest in the topic. It aligns with Accelerate GDT objectives of fostering sustainable urban development and promoting innovative practices in the green and digital transformation. The insights gained from discussions and real-world examples shared during the workshop may lead to collaborations that can further advance the goals of Accelerate GDT.
