The meeting will start on June 16, 2025 with a discussion focusing on the impact of the project on cluster policy development, innovation support, GDT and competitiveness.

The following day, June 17, 2025 the main programme of the meeting will take place, bringing together both international partners and Czech innovation ecosystem stakeholders. In addition to the presentation of the Czech cluster ecosystem, there will also be a number of foreign presentations - e.g. how they work with clusters in Upper Austria or how they approach clusters and smart specialisation in distant Colombia.

One whole session of lectures focuses on a specific topic related to smart specialization, namely the introduction of Entrepreneurial Discovery Processes (EDP).
These are open and creative processes, where the best are matched with the best - scientists, companies, students, authorities, innovators work together to identify the fields that have the potential to be the key to the future - in 5, 10 or 20 years. From the point of view of companies, it is about finding future customers, from the point of view of the state, it is about targeting public support more effectively. The role of clusters is crucial in these processes - they act as a bridge between companies, research institutions and public administration and, thanks to their proximity to companies, they have a good knowledge of what is happening in a given sector, what the market needs are and where new opportunities are opening up.
Our colleagues from ACCIÓ will present their approach on how they work specifically with EDP processes in Catalonia.

The morning programme will be followed by workshops during which we will try to connect and make the most of the experience of all participants on topics such as: the use of clusters for the adoption of new technologies in companies, how to strengthen creativity and innovation processes in firms or how to finance the innovations.
The third day, June 18, 2025 is dedicated to a study visit to the STAR Research & Innovation Cluster in Dolní Břežany, Central Bohemia. The Business and Investment Development Agency Czechinvest wants to introduce project partners to an ecosystem based on the interconnection of research, companies and foreign entities, with the support of the local community.
