On February 15th, 2024, the Interreg Europe ORIGINN project took another significant step forward with the convening of the 2nd regional stakeholder group meeting in Presov self- governing region in Slovakia. This meeting brought together a diverse array of participants, including institutions, SMEs, and private farmers, all integral to the region targeted by the ORIGINN initiative.

The agenda for the day was thoughtfully structured to maximize engagement and foster meaningful discussion:

The meeting commenced with a thorough introduction to the ORIGINN project, delivered by Ivanna Šipošová from the project team. This presentation served to elucidate the project's objectives, activities, and anticipated outcomes, while also emphasizing the crucial role of stakeholders in the region, particularly within the Prešov Self-Governing Region.

Following this introduction, attention turned to the concept of "Truly High-Quality Poloniny" - a destination brand aimed at promoting sustainable tourism. Representatives elaborated on the core principles, certification process, and the renewal criteria for the brand, sparking a dialogue on its potential impact and implementation within the region.

The heart of the meeting was undoubtedly the open discussion segment, where participants shared invaluable insights into the transformative effects of the certification on their businesses. Interviews with destination brand owners provided firsthand accounts of their experiences, offering a wealth of knowledge on successful strategies and challenges encountered.

The feedback gathered from stakeholders will be instrumental in guiding future endeavors and ensuring the initiative's continued relevance and impact

Looking ahead, we remain steadfast in our dedication to collaborative action, as we work together towards realizing our vision of a sustainable and prosperous region. Together, we can create meaningful change and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
