4th Local Stakeholder Seminar of the Czech Republic
On January 16th 2025, Czech Technical University in Prague hosted the 4th Local Stakeholder Meeting in Prague. Michal Tobiáš, leader of the WEEEWaste project shared insights and key information from the Interregional Event which was held in Pamplona, Spain in October 2025.
Implementation of the project was discussed with representatives of State Environmental Fund CZ, collective system ELEKTROWIN a.s., e-waste associations and private companies during the local stakeholder meeting. Thanks to this discussion, CTU found out other interesting examples of the good practices in the region to map current situation at the market. The output of the meeting was to aim how to support reuse centers in the Czech Republic.
In the second part of the meeting, CTU presented achievement to with the interactive lectures and engaging discussions with students thanks to the initiative Recyklohraní o.p.s. The initiative has helped students understand the importance of responsible e-waste management and the role they can play in minimizing environmental impact.
The students were highly engaged and demonstrated considerable knowledge of the topic. Their active participation and insightful questions show a promising awareness of sustainability and circular economy principles.
