The Conference on the Circular Economy organized jointly by the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Region and the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place on 22-23.102020.

In the agenda of this event, among others, two important panels sessions were worth highlighting: panel on industrial symbiosis and on financing of circular economy activities. The panel on industrial symbiosis made it possible to broaden the knowledge and exchange of experiences related to the circular economy for broadly understood business and consumers. During the second session the possible sources of financing the circular economy solutions: INTERREG and Horizon programme in the new programming period were presented.

Representatives of the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Region and the companies from our region, who were present during the discussion, emphasized the practical aspects of implementing the circular economy concept and good practice, including the SYMBI project, as well as the possibility of financing the activities of circular economy and regional smart specializations.

The whole event became a platform for representatives of the world of science, local governments and business as well as domestic and foreign experts to share their knowledge and experience on the circular economy. There were also the benefits for entrepreneurs and consumers of the concept of change in rational resource management presented.
