We recently started a new trans-border collaboration between Wallonia and Brittany through the project CAFCA. This project was submitted to Skywin , the aeronautics and space Cluster in Wallonia, through the 32nd Plan Marshall call and jointly approved and funded by the Wallonia and Brittany regions.

The Kick-off was held at Jean Del'Cour, near Liège with the presence of Open Engineering - Home of OOFELIE::Multiphysics, Multitel from Wallonia and Photonics Bretagne, Pixel sur Mer, Idil Fibres Optiques from Brittany.

The project will aim at developing new fibre optical sensors for simultaneous measurement of T° and strain both on metallic surfaces and into composite materials.

This collaboration will last for 3 years.
