This public event, which is part of the EU-wide European Year of Cultural Heritage initiative, will explore some of the sustainability challenges faced by heritage tourism destinations in Europe. It will focus specifically on towns that are members of the SHARE project – a project co-funded by the European Union’s Interreg Europe programme.

The seminar will include short (10 minute) case study presentations from project partners across 6 countries and an interactive round-table discussion with the audience.

Dr Andres Coca-Stefaniak, who will chair the session, is Senior Lecturer at the University of Greenwich and a member of the Tourism Research Centre group. He is also the coordinator of the research activities carried out as part of the SHARE project in his internal university capacity for this project as Principal Investigator.
