The Role of Chemistry in Bio and Circular Economy

On 27th June 2018, in the framework of the regional stakeholders meeting, the Catalan Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIO) will carry out its thematic seminar on Bio and Circular Economy.
The objective of the seminar is to inform about the role of the chemical industry in bioeconomics and in the circular economy in Catalonia. Also to publicize cases of specific applications and to create networking between the different actors of the chemical ecosystem that contributes to the generation of ideas of development and innovation projects.
The Europe 2020 strategy considers bio-economy as a key element for smart and green growth in Europe. The breakthrough in research and innovation on bio and circular economy will allow Europe to improve the management of natural resources and open new and diversified markets, reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The chemical sector and industries can provide new and innovative solutions that allow us to face the challenges, not only technological, but also the social challenges.
