On Thursday 7 September, RELOS3 will participate in the launch event of the Observatory on Environmental Sustainability, organised during the prestigious Farete Fair in Bologna (Italy).

The event will focus on increasing the implementation of intelligent expertise by uniting local stakeholders, such as innovative companies, research centres, business associations and also local authorities and universities.

At the event, a wide range of information will be offered to participants, specially on sustainable energy and the circular economy, with stakeholders from all relevant parts of the Quadruple Helix.

This type of cooperation is a direct effect of the RELOS3 project.  This project has been funded by the Interreg Europe programme of the European Union and aims to increase effectiveness of Smart Specialisation Strategies at the local level.

In the area around Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, industries as diverse as agri-food, mechatronics and motoring, health and well-being, culture and creativty provides the focal point of the Smart Specialisation Strategy.

RELOS3 allows to re-generate the economic fabric by introducing new production concepts and new business models, such as provision of green finance, giving value and strength to highly innovate environments with high potential for growth and high-quality jobs.

Participation in the event is free of charge, but registration is compulsory.  It will be held in the Italian language.

Later in September, RELOS3's second Thematic Event will be held near Bologna.  It will take place on 28 and 29 September in Bertinoro.  More information on its own event page on this website.
