On October 16th the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EpoSS) Forum was launched in Thessaloniki, at the National Institute of Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks/Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH).

The challenges of digital transformation that affect not only various industrial and business sectors but also various aspects of everyday life were the central subject of this year's EpoSS forum.

Intelligent systems are identified as a key catalyst for a competitive digital Europe. The integration of innovative digital technologies in small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and mid-cap companies was discussed by the representatives of the European Union, companies and academia.

EPoSS mission is to bring together European private and public bodies, to create an integrated ecosystem of intelligent systems and to boost innovation and market access, as the EPoSS vice president Renzo Dal Molin stated at the inaugural meeting.
