Workshop 2: Participatory Urban Planning

The aim of the workshop is to exchange experiences and facilitate learning among the partners on participatory and integrated urban planning.
Can stakeholder involvement help us develop low carbon edge cities and metropolitan areas? How can we best involve stakeholders in spatial planning? The following topics will be covered: methods for involving citizens, how do we collaborate with knowledge institutions, business, the third sector and harness the potential of quadruple helix?
A site visit will be organise to Magurele where the partners will be introduced to a project focused on involvement of local communities in urban sustainable transport plannin. The good practices from the partners to be shared include the The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan Bucharest - Ilfov, Urban Master Plan participatory process, AMB and Stockholm's Open Lab.
