Last cross-visit on eco-innovations vs food waste

The cross visit hosted in Western Macedonia is focused on introducing participants in food waste prevention practices applied by local producers and NGOs at regional and national level. This cross-visit also aims to present one example of a circular food waste prevention chain from farming to production of feed.

Day 1: 2nd of May, 2018 – At the premises of RDFWM, ZEP area, Kozani and of First Hand, Kozani

15:00 – 15:10        Registration
15:10 – 15:30        Welcome by the Governor of Western Macedonia and the Director of the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia
15:30 – 15:45        Introduction to the Cross-Visit of Western Macedonia
15:45 – 16:30        Presentation of the BOROUME initiative and their Platform
16:30 – 16:45        Coffee Break
16:45 – 17:30        “Bread in wait” and “Milk in wait” initiatives of ARSIS Kozani -
            volunteering community of solidarity and social action
17:30 – 19:00        Transfer by bus and visit to ARSIS Kozani
19:00            End of the 1st day
20:00            Dinner in Kozani (place to be decided) 

Day 2: 3rd of May, 2018 – Visits to stakeholders to Velvento, Grevena, Amyntaio

08:00 – 08:15        Meeting at the center of Kozani
08:15 – 10:30        Transfer by bus and visit to A.S.O.P. Velventos Dimitra fruits producer
10:30 – 11:30        Transfer by bus to Grevena
11:30 – 12:00        Coffee Break
12:00 – 13:30         Visit to the production facilities of  Kourellas SA, dairy products producer and exporter; 1st stop: Production facilities; 2nd stop: Farms; 3rd stop: Feed production facility
13:30 – 15:30        Lunch (place to be decided)
15:30 – 16:30        Transfer by bus to Amyntaio
16:30 – 17:00        Coffee Break
17:00 – 19:00        Visit to the Dioskouridis – Tzimikas aromatic herbs and plants
19:00 – 21:00        Dinner in Amyntaio (place to be decided)
21:00 – 21:45        Return to Kozani
 
Day 3: 4th of May, 2018 – Visit of stakeholders to Kozani

08:00 – 08:15        Meeting at the center of Kozani
08:15 – 08:45        Visit to the ATM spots of First Hand (Apo Proto Heri) cow-farmers and producers of dairy products
08:45– 10:15        Transfer by bus and visit to the facilities of First Hand (Apo Proto Heri)
10:15 – 10:30        Coffee Break
10:30 – 11:30        Closing session and End of the Cross-Visit
11:30 – 14:00        Lunch (place to be decided)
