IS Lab meeting Sweden

On the morning of 9th October, a minibus left Vaxjo with TRIS stakeholders heading northwest towards Varnam. The destination was Vandalorum an art and design museum and specifically the exhibition Wastelands. Wastelands shows how innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration can help alleviate the global climate challenges we face. In the exhibition you will see how the commonly used building materials - concrete, bricks, wood, plastics, glass and metal - and see how they can be used again and again with new design, function and value. 
Ida Olsson was an inspiring guide that showed the group the exhibition and the innovative designed buildings made from recycled materials. The group learned that an attractive design can be made from recycled materials. Building industry creates large amounts of waste and a more resource  efficient use of materials is needed.
