In-person action within the WEEEWaste Project - Repair Cafe

The Environmental Research Institute from Slovenia held an in-person action within the WEEEWaste project on December 4th 2024 at the Repair Cafe in Slovenske Konjice.

This event brought together participants from various interest groups and non-governmental organizations. The event focused on developing collaborative awareness campaigns to address critical issues in e-waste management. Key discussions included strategies for raising public awareness about the proper disposal and handling of e-waste, exploring solutions to improve collection and processing systems for better environmental and social outcomes, and fostering stronger partnerships between organizations to work towards common sustainability goals.

Participants proposed several actionable ideas, such as creating targeted educational materials, setting up community-based collection points, and organizing workshops to encourage reuse and recycling practices. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to network and lay the groundwork for impactful campaigns that align with the objectives of the WEEEWaste project.
