This workshop is organised by PASSAGE partnership at the occasion of the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC), on 10 October 2017.
Regional and intermediate policy makers, drivers for cross-border maritime cooperation
28 years after the launch of Interreg territorial cooperation programmes in Europe, this workshop proposes a state of play of the remaining challenges when it comes to cooperate across maritime borders. How does cooperation benefit to inhabitants of maritime borders? Is physical accessibility the key to strengthen cooperation? What specific role can be played by regional and intermediate policy makers, within and beyond the framework of Interreg programmes covering maritime borders? How can the EU better support local initiatives for integrated approach of maritime borders in the future cohesion policy? Come and join the debate!
