About the project

Regional and municipal authorities decide upon policies empowering communities in rural areas and medium sized cities. Recent research (Skerrat et al; SRUC 2018) demonstrates that these policies can fail to address specific target groups. Also 'lived experience data' is insufficiently represented in monitoring outcome of named policies. Ergo, the policy learning is incomplete for next level implementation.

Evidence based experience proved application of low threshold instruments/methods to be a success in the framework of ECoC Leeuwarden-Fryslan 2018. With these methods/instruments the region reinforced community resillience, boosted social innovation and advanced quadruple helix cooperation. Similar approaches may prove to be key for other European regional authorities when reaching out to peripheral areas or localities.

This peer review will design a multi-regional testing facility for an enhanced mission based policy.
