ReSanté-Vous focuses on non pharmacological apporach providing professionals specialized in rehabilitation and accompaniment of the person in nursing homes.
ReSanté Vous is a social enterprise born from the idea of combining professional skills within a specialized gerontology team and add value to non-pharmacologic approach focusing on prevention and attention to human dimension. Today our multidisciplinary team brings together 5 professions plus a scientific council chaired by a sociologist and including a team of researchers. We provide services for the rehabilitation and the support of people in nursing homes in order to bring an external perspective to the practices carried out and takes advantage of this position to impact professional habits. For nursing homes, this innovative concept makes possible, on the one hand, to provide residents with specialized support and, on the other hand, provide an external advice to professional teams. Our services: psycological support; psycomotility; physical adapted activity; art therapy; professional therapist.
We created also the concept of “my home to come” that aims to raise awareness among elderly about solutions to prevent to fall. It consists in a health prevention team: the prevention officer and the occupational therapist. Concretely, it is a truck designed especially for the project that spreads on each side, representing a miniature house. It contains the main rooms of the house and during the visit, the speakers propose: the identification of sensitive points present at home (inside and outside), practical advice on facilities, contacts to benefit from technical aids.

Evidence of success
The non-pharmacologic approach reigns over the health and medico-social sector. ReSanté Vous offers people both human and non-drug alternatives. Beyond this, our team develops tools and approaches that have been scientifically proven. Unfortunately, they are poorly known and poorly developed.
The main difficulties are related to the culture of this sector. The sector is focused on intensive care and drug therapies, sometimes ignoring the whole person and the professionals who accompany people.
Potential for learning or transfer
Two key success factors.
External: Favourable political framework. At regional level policies put lot of attention on prevention, holistic approach to health supporting non-pharmacologic approach and highlighting the importance of the quality of life at work.
Internal: the multidisciplinary team is an absolute force for the enterprise. We count on specific expertise that are not widespread within the medico social sector or even when they are present the expert is isolated and disconnected with the general environment of the patient.
