Construction of an ECO kindergarten, with energy class A
The building is designed in accordance with the current EE requirements, which exceeds the minimum requirements and meets Energy Class A.
The orientation of the building is consistent with its functions and provides maximum comfort. To prevent overheating during the summer months, shading elements are provided for the facade.
The exterior walls have thermal insulation EPS 20 cm and mineral plaster in different colors. The roof is insulated with 25 cm mineral insulation. The building has heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
The windows are made of five-chamber PVC joinery and double glazing with U = 0.8 W / m2K.
The collection and use of rainwater for irrigation purposes is foreseen.
The project is implemented according to the municipal policies and plans for improving the energy efficiency and the introduction of renewable energy sources in the municipal buildings.
The site is under implementation under OPRD 2014-2020.
The amount of the investment is 3 956 830 BGN, incl. VAT
Evidence of success
The first eco-biulding in Bourgas with high-class energy efficiency, which was a good opportunity for the local workers to increase their capacities highest energy performance standarts. It is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings of the educational infrastructure not only in Burgas but also in the country. The building combines numerous measures, which determine the ecological and nature. As the building is newly built, no savings can be made for energy savings and CO emissions.
The major barrier in the implementation of the project was the demand for workers with competencies different from what has already been implemented. This was evident in implementing the measures related to the façade insulation, because its details were not conventional.
Potential for learning or transfer
The implementation of this project has a significant multiplication potential, because the municipality plans to renovate at least 5 kindergartens to the highest energy performance standards.
