Guide developed within the Regional Strategy for e-vehicles in Castilla y León, providing stakeholders with information regarding Electromobility.
This Guide was developed within the Regional Strategy for electric vehicle in Castilla y León. It provides people, automotive industries or other stakeholders such us public administrations, with information regarding Electromobility. Besides, it helps authorities to establish policies and regulatory measures in order to foster the use of this sort of vehicles.
The guide is made of two parts. The first one is a book in which is explained all about the electric vehicle. In the second one, we can find several books where different measures are considered to improve the use of this technology in 21 of the biggest cities in Castilla y León.
This good practice is related to:
- Policies and Regulatory Measures for Electro-Mobility (because it was part of the Regional Strategy for electric vehicle in Castilla y León).
- Recharging infrastructures (because it informs about that in addition to other new business models)
- Last but not least, is related to Awareness raising because in the first book you can find all kind of information about electric vehicles.
The amount of funding/financial resources used was about 20.000 €.
Evidence of success
This practice improves the knowledge of the stakeholders about electric vehicle technology and the knowledge increases with the interest, and in this case happens the same.
In fact, 21 public presentations were done and, after that, several municipalities showed interest about charging points, new business models or fleet renewal measures.
As we all know, the years when this practice was carried out were affected with a serious economic crisis which had a clear influence in the automotive sector and people was not ready yet to buy electric cars or Implement charging points in municipalities or particular houses.
Potential for learning or transfer
this good practice could clearly affect Policies and Regulatory Measures for Electro-Mobility because it was part of the Regional Strategy for electric vehicle in Castilla y León, and any prometeus partner could try to do something like this for their Action Plan.
Likewise, the practice is related to Awareness raising because it provides all kind of information about electric vehicles. So, taking into account Poliedra’s report on the Template on Electro-mobility Preparedness and Needs, all partners could use it in order to solve the problems with “Lack of awareness/interest/sensitivity or self-assessed low capability regarding e-mobility in general”.
