The purpose of these grants is to encourage investment to improve the competitive position of the agri-food sector of Navarre.
The program of Rural Development (PDR) of Navarre 2014-2020 includes this measure of support with code M 4.02.
The purpose of these grants is to encourage investment in processing, marketing or development of agricultural products to improve the competitive position of the agri-food sector of Navarre.
Define "companies of quality production" companies that comply, among others requirements, be artisan companies and/or those dedicated to producing products protected by designations of origin, geographical indications protected or organic production.
Beneficiaries of these grants may be individuals and companies that meet the requirements of having a production plant in Navarre and develop activities of processing, marketing or development of agricultural products.
The amount of aid shall be determined according to the percentages indicated in the measure, which will be added and will result in the aid intensity, to apply on the basis of the eligible costs of the investment project. The course of quality with ecological production companies supposed to add 2%.
The procedure is the competitive concurrence, that is a comparison of the projects presented. The so-called organic production is valued with 12 points out of 100.

Resources needed

The maximum subsidy granted by record amount is € 2,000,000. These grants are co-financed by 31% by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. An expense of 9,000,000 euros for aid funding committed in the year 2017.

Potential for learning or transfer

The competitive format, in which participation in the measurement of organic production is 12 points out of 100 and an increase of 2% in the aid intensity may encourage the increase of organic agribusiness production, although the difficulty of combining conventional and organic production in the same facilities can curb that impulse.
