On 28 October, from 15:30 to 17:00 CET, the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform is organising a hybrid workshop on the future of impact investing. The event will take place within the Agorada+2021 - FinMed conference organised by EURADA in Valencia, Spain.
Workshop: Interreg Europe Good Practices on the future of impact investing
This hybrid workshop will be moderated by our SME competitiveness Thematic Experts, René Tõnnisson and Mart Veliste. It will take place on the first day of the conference from 15:30 to 17:00 CET and will put the spotlight on impact investing.
Impact investing goes beyond traditional investments as it is also taking into account possible environmental and social impacts of investments in addition to financial returns. This concept, although in theory known already for some time, is still relatively new and used rarely in practice. The workshop is going to explore the lessons learned from the existing instruments and discuss how to make impact investing more widely used in Europe.
For more information, check out the event's agenda.
This hybrid conference is jointly co-organised with EURADA and aims to take a look on how COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped the global economic environment and financial priorities exposing fragilities in the corporate and financial worlds. However, the new situation is also providing opportunities for innovation when it comes to the utilisation of financial instruments and grants.
EURADA aims with this high-level international event to create an annual forum where regional development practitioners and finance experts can exchange good practices, transfer knowledge, and discuss innovative measures and financial instruments to raise an economy heavily damaged by the undesirable effects of the pandemic and to guarantee sustainable, long-term growth.
More information on the conference can be found on the AGORADA+ 2021 event page.
Note that this is a hybrid event happening both online and onsite.
