On 1 and 2 July 2021, the Policy Learning Platform is organising an online peer review for the benefit of the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald.
What will it be about?
This peer review will be moderated by Katharina Krell, and Astrid Severin, our low-carbon and environment and resource efficiency thematic experts.
The University and Hanseatic city of Greifswald want to convene with European experts and their regional stakeholders to discuss the rehabilitation of a landfill, and the policy challenges related to land use planning for the area of the former landfill.
They would also like to explore the development potential of its extremely valuable and attractive location at an early stage in view of informing the urban development strategy.
In addition, the peer review hosts would like to learn about best practice experiences made in other parts of Europe and examine if some of these approaches could be adapted to their specific regional needs.
