The Policy Learning Platform online Peer Review on Framing the Urban Logistics Strategy will be hosted by the City of Warsaw and the Warsaw Road Authority. It will take place virtually on 29 and 30 September 2020.

The city of Warsaw see lack of a coherent city policy regarding the urban logistics. Although, it has conducted a few surveys and has a basic overview, no specific and advanced actions were made; and therefore no systematic solutions were introduced.

One of the biggest challenges for the city of Warsaw is to start building a Warsaw logistics policy but what should be taken into account. How to start working on a strategy? Who should be involved? What are the key parts of the strategy? How to formulate the goal of the strategy?

The City of Warsaw is now working on the Warsaw Mobility Policy and this is a right moment to improve it by framing the urban logistics policy. The peer review will focus on improving the executive document which helps implementing the Strategy 2030. The output will be implemented in the paper that will be finished by the end of 2020.

The peer review will also be used as an opportunity for a main stakeholders meeting as it is a chance to gather all important public bodies and to exchange their perspective and needs regarding urban mobility.

This activity is invitation only. However, key learnings will be available afterwards, in a follow-up article.
